Habitat for Humanity Fredericton Area

Habitat for Humanity Fredericton Area Inc. was established in 1999 and incorporated in 2001 serving the Fredericton area and Carleton County. In February, 2012, Habitat Canada expanded the territory to cover northwestern New Brunswick from Petersville Hill to the Quebec border and McAdam to Doaktown. While we retain the legal name Habitat for Humanity Fredericton Area Inc., we are now called Habitat for Humanity Fredericton Northwest / NordOuest.

In 2010, Habitat for Humanity Canada celebrated its 25th anniversary with 68 affiliates, 65 ReStores and almost 2,200 homes built across the country.  As one of the 68 affiliates operating under, we are also part of the larger worldwide network of Habitat for Humanity International that spans 93 countries.

Our mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners to build affordable housing and promote home-ownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.
