Volunteer and Corporate Partnerships Committee

Members help to recruit, orient and utilize individual and corporate volunteers to carry out the ministry of Habitat. An ability to network and organize events is helpful to:

  • distribute applications and outreach materials throughout the community,
  • recruit and receive volunteer applications and help match individual skills and interests to affiliate opportunities,
  • maintain a volunteer database of individuals, corporations, churches, tradespersons, community groups, etc.;
  • ensure volunteers have a positive experience and hold an annual volunteer recognition event;
  • develop a “Buy-a-Build Day” program whereby corporations purchase a teambuilding day on the build site;
  • identify ongoing requirements of the affiliate and seek corporate sponsors to support these needs; and
  • plan, coordinate and staff fundraising events.
